Located just on the southern edge of Cairo, 15 May is home to many Christians whose job is to collect, sort, and recycle garbage from the city. Consisting of about 200 families, this area is one of the poorest villages in which we work. The average income for a family is between $60-80USD per month when work is steady. The families literally live among the garbage yet have an amazing outlook on life. The small Baptist church that serves the village is slowly growing and houses a preschool in their building.
